Oklahoma State University

Research Week

Now in its ninth year, Research Week is an annual event celebrating the research and scholarly activity of students and faculty at Oklahoma State University. Featuring speakers, symposiums, performances and presentations, the week provides an excellent opportunity for those inside and outside the university to experience the impact of research, which has never been more vital to our society as it is today. The pursuit of relevant, workable solutions enables progress on issues such as the economy, alternative energy, human diseases and natural disasters. OSU student and faculty researchers are hard at work on these and many other complex societal problems.

In recognition of the 150th anniversary of The Morrill Act, many of this year’s Research Week events focus on OSU’s land-grant mission. In a society very different from that of the late 1800s, OSU continues to fulfill that mission in a number of modern ways, including technology commercialization and entrepreneurism. A series of presentations during Research Week focus on these two very important aspects of our university culture (see below for more details).

Join us for these or any of the other events scheduled throughout Research Week. Full details are available at http://researchweek.okstate.edu.
