Teachers Perceptions of Work-Related Emotions

Abstract:
This study investigated the role that emotions play in the lives teachers and principals. Interviews and a focus group were utilized to help provide a better understanding of the job-related emotions experienced by teachers and principals in a large, suburban, public school. This research seeks to address issues that may lead to teacher burnout, attrition and teacher workforce shortages in public schools.
